1. Your saucepans might have loose handles, or wobbly lids, which makes them dangerous. You don't want to drop a pan of boiling water over yourself because the handle fell off.

2. Perhaps you no longer have all the cookware you need. You might want additional baking trays or a stockpot for doing rice, soup and pasta in. If you regularly cook for a lot of people, then you'll want to be able to serve them all at the same time, so that they can all sit down together.
